Role: Plant Nursery Operations Manager
Location: Hawke's Bay
We are looking for a positive and ambitious person to lead our growing team of skilled staff producing good quality native plants and providing great customer service in our wholesale revegetation nursery.
This role reports to the managing director, and works with them and the nursery manager to set the goals and workplan for the business.
The role includes:
- hiring and training nursery workers
- opening and closing the nursery each day
- creating staff work rosters and delegating duties with toolbox meetings
- supervising staff operations
- preparing orders and managing dispatch
- keeping daily records of work activities
- machinery management of tractors and loaders
- health and safety management
