Role: Dispatcher
Location: Canterbury
The position of Dispatcher is responsible for the day to day loading and moving of plants ready for Loading and Dispatch. You will work to detail using load sheets with a logical approach. Strong teamwork and communication are critical. Please note this is a Fixed Term position for six months to cover our seasonal increase in workload.
Key tasks include:
- Loading, picking up plants from a load sheet with a logical approach
- Ensuring work is of a high quality with minimal wastage
- Ensuring the department is kept clean and tidy
- Communication with team members around duties and expectations
Key attributes for this position include:
- Attention to detail and high focus
- Must be able to adapt quickly to changes in the production schedule
- Ability to multitask and a have flexible attitude towards duties
- Clear and decisive communication skills
- Have the mindset to troubleshoot and problem solve
Hours:
Hours cover a Sunday to Friday roster period and will depend on dispatch needs and seasonal changes. Hours are mostly 7:00am to 4:00pm with some 6:00am starts during the seasonal peak across September – October.
