A SHED meeting will be held on Thursday 18th February at Tharfield Nursery, located near Kati Kati in the sunny Bay of Plenty.
Here we have a unique opportunity to see how one of NZ's premium supplier of fruit trees and shrubs is taking a proactive approach to tackling the challenges facing modern nursery businesses in the areas of workforce and production. We will be taking a tour of their nursery site that is implementing the LEAN management system.
SHED stands for See, Hear, Engage, Debate. They are a chance for members from around a region to come together to connect and share ideas and expertise.
A shared lunch will be followed by a tour of the spectacular nursery.
Sarah Watson from People Management & Development (peoplemad.co.nz) will be travelling up to provide a presentation on the LEAN management system and the benefits it could have on your nursery production.
We will then have a discussion on the areas of workforce and staffing and an update on NZPPI’s latest activities.
Lunch and afternoon tea will be provided - please inform us of any dietary requirements.
