Event Detail

At the end of February 2023, Nominations will open for NZPPI Board roles.

NZPPI’s Constitution includes a rotation policy that requires two board members to retire each year, with the right to seek re-election.

This year there is one retiring member, Marie Taylor, who has advised that she will be seeking re-election.

The Board position for the forestry sector remains vacant from last year’s election but we will not be seeking nominees for this position at this time.

Our Board members are vital to NZPPI’s success, setting our strategic direction, bringing their industry knowledge and leadership skills to the table.

Our members are encouraged to put up their hand to be nominated and vote in the upcoming elections.

All nominations must be made on official forms, which will be sent to our members by 01/03/2023.

Voting will be conducted by postal or email voting, with voting forms to be returned to the NZPPI office by 5pm on (30/03/2023).

'I have gained a lot of experience in governance, leadership and strategy, and have really enjoyed working with the other members of the board. The culture of the Board is very positive and has allowed me to develop. It's been rewarding to step outside my business, sector and region and get involved in the broader issues and opportunities for the Plant Production industry. Once I return to work from maternity leave, I have every intention of contributing to the broader industry, perhaps in a governance role again or through one of the Special Interest Groups or committee's.'
- Kara Beaumont, (2022).

Official forms and other information regarding the elections are available by emailing office@nzppi.co.nz  or phoning 04 918 3511
