Following lunch, Marion Mackay gave a presentation on the Pukeiti Rhododendron Trust's application to the EPA to have Rhododendrons officially recognised as being present in New Zealand, under the Taking Stock project.
Following this, we took a walk through to the Park Fernery's propagation area and discussed ideas for a refit of the outdoor plant standing area and development of a new propagation grow house.
After tea, we held an open forum discussion with the NZPPI Chief Executive Matthew Dolan to hear about some of the key areas that NZPPI is working on.
