Role: Health and Safety and Compliance Officer
Location: Gisborne
Linnaeus Limited is a private laboratory providing clients with a broad range of diagnostic testing and Research & Development activities in the areas of plant and soil health, water and food quality, and industrial waste. Linnaeus Limited is a subsidiary of Riversun Nursery Limited.
We are seeking a Health and Safety and Compliance Officer to maintain compliance and certifications across various compliance platforms for our horticultural clients. You will be responsible for maintaining a robust internal audit system and document control programme to maintain ongoing compliance. Also keeping company current Health and Safety systems up to date
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Coordinating and carrying out internal and external audits.
- Assisting managers in ensuring close out of audit findings.
- Maintaining an equipment calibration database.
- Maintaining an effective document control system.
- Managing training databases.
- Maintaining some Health and Safety systems.
About you
We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate team player with auditing and quality systems experience. Preferably you will have:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in quality assurance and auditing.
- Knowledge or experience in NZ GAP/GLOBALG.A.P, NZAGA High Health Scheme, KVH KPCS, NZW Grafted Grapevine Standard, NZ Plant Production Biosecurity Scheme and Food control plans/HACCP.
- Viticulture or horticulture experience.
- Health and Safety experience.
- Experience in document control.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office.
- Strong oral and written skills.
- A good eye for detail and good time management.
