The Role
We are looking for a sales and plant superstar to join our team to coordinate production, revegetation and lead commercial sales. You will be working closely with the Production Manager to manage stock supply, availability and maintenance as well as managing client relationships, and assisting with business development to meet sales and growth objectives.
The main responsibilities of this role include:
- Maintaining a thorough understanding of crop movements in various stages of growth to predict future requirements
- Planning the production of plants to meet the expected needs of the future market.
- Liaising with staff to maintain plant quality and supply.
- Facilitating the Managing Director and the Environmental Services team with revegetation projects. This involves creating quotes, adjusting plant orders based on client needs, availability, and quality and organising the smooth despatch and delivery of large plant orders.
- Building and maintaining relationships with new and existing commercial clients.
- Ensure major commercial clients are regularly communicated with by phone, email, and face to face as required
The ideal candidate will:
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
- Have an enthusiastic and a can-do attitude
- Have good knowledge of native plants and their uses
- Be willing to learn and have a solutions-based approach to problem solving
- Be able to self-manage and self-motivate while also working well within a team
- Have a good understanding of Microsoft programs and preferably some experience with web design, social media etc
- A Degree or Diploma in a related field is preferred but not essential
